Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website, landing pages, online forms, booking tools, and any services provided by Transitional Flooring Professionals ("Transitional Flooring Professionals," "we," "us," or "our"), including carpet installation, hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl plank, waterproof laminate, engineered hardwood, commercial flooring, and related flooring services in Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Noblesville, Greenwood, Avon, Brownsburg, Plainfield, Franklin, Greenfield, Columbus, Lawrence, Zionsville, and surrounding areas or any other locations we may serve from time to time. By accessing our website, submitting a form, requesting an estimate, communicating with us by phone, SMS, email, or social media, or hiring us for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our website or services.

The scope of our services includes, but is not limited to, carpet installation, hardwood flooring installation, luxury vinyl plank installation, engineered hardwood installation, waterproof laminate flooring, commercial flooring, flooring removal and haul away, insurance claim flooring, furniture moving, and related work as agreed. The precise scope of work for your project will be set out in your written estimate, quote, or agreement, and any later agreed-upon changes or additions will form part of the contract between you and Transitional Flooring Professionals.

Quotes and estimates provided by Transitional Flooring Professionals are generally free of charge and are based on the information available to us at the time of consultation or site review. Unless otherwise stated, estimates are valid for a limited period of time as noted on the quote. Final pricing may change due to material selections, supplier pricing, actual measurements, subfloor conditions, additional work requested, or issues not reasonably visible or disclosed at the time of the estimate. We will make reasonable efforts to inform you of any significant price changes before proceeding.

Project scheduling is subject to availability, material timelines, site readiness, and unforeseen conditions. Any estimated start dates or completion timelines provided are approximate and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to material delivery issues, staffing availability, site access restrictions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any scheduling changes as soon as possible.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms generally require deposits where applicable to secure project dates and purchase materials. Remaining balances are typically due upon substantial completion of the agreed scope of work, meaning when the primary flooring services have been completed even if minor touch-ups or adjustments remain. Any alternative payment schedules or staged payments will be clearly outlined in your estimate or agreement.

Deposits may be used to secure your project date and to purchase materials specific to your project. Once materials have been ordered or work has begun, deposits related to those costs may become non-refundable in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. If you cancel after materials are purchased or services have commenced, you may be responsible for material costs, restocking fees where applicable, and labour completed to date.

You are responsible for ensuring that the work area is reasonably accessible and prepared for our crew. This includes removing personal items and fragile belongings unless otherwise agreed, securing pets and children away from work areas, and ensuring utilities such as electricity are available where required. If the site is not ready at the scheduled time, rescheduling fees or additional charges may apply.

You agree to provide accurate information regarding site conditions, including but not limited to subfloor condition, moisture issues, structural concerns, prior damage, leveling problems, or hidden obstacles. Transitional Flooring Professionals is not responsible for delays, additional costs, or damages arising from conditions that were concealed, undisclosed, or not reasonably visible at the time of estimate. If such conditions are discovered, we will discuss any necessary additional work and revised pricing.

Flooring projects may require additional preparation once work begins, such as subfloor repair, leveling, moisture mitigation, adhesive removal, or unforeseen repairs. These may incur extra costs if not included in the original estimate. We will make reasonable efforts to obtain your approval before proceeding with additional work when possible.

You acknowledge that natural flooring materials such as hardwood may vary in color, grain, texture, and appearance. Samples and photos are representative only and may not exactly match the final installed result. Natural variation and changes over time due to sunlight, humidity, temperature, and normal wear are not considered defects.

Flooring installation work may involve noise, dust, odors, equipment use, and temporary disruption of the work area. While we take reasonable steps to maintain cleanliness and safety, some residual dust or cleanup beyond standard site tidying may be required. You are responsible for any specialized cleaning unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Transitional Flooring Professionals performs work in accordance with industry standards and applicable guidelines. We provide a workmanship warranty on our services for a period specified in your agreement or, where not specified, for one (1) year from the date of substantial completion. This warranty covers installation or workmanship defects only and does not cover product defects, which are subject to manufacturer warranties where applicable.

Our workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, moisture or water damage, shifting subfloors, structural movement, normal wear and tear, pet damage, or work performed by others after completion. All warranty claims are subject to inspection and determination by Transitional Flooring Professionals.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Transitional Flooring Professionals, including its owners, employees, and contractors, for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including loss of use, loss of profits, or inconvenience.
